Konami is once again setting up shop at San Diego Comic-Con this year, bringing Yu-Gi-Oh! back to Booth #3713 for a weekend packed with dueling, demos, and hands-on activities.

The exclusive game mat drops

The biggest news from the latest update: the ever-popular, always-sells-out exclusive game mat has been revealed. Attendees can pick up the annual San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Game Mat for $30 at the booth, and this year's design features Chibi Yugi and Chibi Kaiba, along with Chibi Black Luster Soldier and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon from Battles of Legend: Glorious Gallery. As always, expect a line — this is one of the fastest-moving exclusives at the show. sdccblogsdccblog

What's happening at the booth

Beyond the mat, there's a full slate of activities for duelists of all levels:

  • Master Duel & TCG demos — Sit down with a TCG expert to learn the ropes, and demo participants get to keep their Demo Deck.

  • Token Card photo booth — A green screen setup lets attendees create their own personalized Yu-Gi-Oh! Token Card.

  • New: Deck-Building Station — After finishing a demo, newer players can head to this station to learn how to actually build their own deck from scratch.

  • Duel the Master — The competitive centerpiece returns. Bring your own deck and face off against Konami's Master Duelists; defeat all four for a special prize. Every attempt earns a Demo Coin, and a win earns an extra one.

Prizes worth dueling for

Demo Coins can be redeemed at the booth for a rotating pool of rewards, including a Kuriboh Arty Bag, a TCG Millennium Necklace Globe, character plushes (Mulcharmy Fuwalos, Purulia, and Meowls, plus a Time Wizard plush), card pins, sleeves, a scorepad — and, for the lucky, a Nintendo Switch.

With the new deck-building station bridging the gap between casual demos and Duel the Master's competitive fire, Konami's booth looks built to welcome newcomers and challenge veterans alike this year at SDCC.
